omg my teacher used to bully me about how I wouldn't stand for the pledge and she told me that I hated America and how awful a person I was and that she was gonna call her friends from the armed services and have them come one morning during class and make me explain to them why I wouldn't stand for the pledge and I don't think I've ever rolled my eyes so hard before

yeah my stepdad believes that if you don't stand for the pledge and the national anthem then you deserve to be thrown out of the country.

harry/luna please

The Ministry ball was an annual event, and each year Harry was expected to ask someone to accompany him. He'd been planning on asking Hermione to go as friends, but she was with Ron now. So, ears tinged red and hands clammy as hell, Harry now stood outside Luna's house, knocking and waiting for her to answer.

"Harry Potter!" Luna called airily, giving her old friend a genuine sort of smile.

"Err--hi, Luna," Harry replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "I was wondering...d'you wanna maybe...go to the Ministry ball with me?"

He was red from the neck up; terrified of her response. Luna gave him a warm smile.

"Of course, Harry. I'd love to."

Harry felt as though he could fly.
