reunion of minds
‘ They caught Skyfire. Brought him down out of orbit. ’
The words had rattled him, enough that he abandoned his lab && took off, stumbling down the hall && heading towards the med bay. Most moved out of his way, those that did not move were promptly shoved; he needed to get to Skyfire, he needed to see his dear friend.
When he reached the med bay, he palmed the door immediately && bolted inside the moment the doors parted. His spark racing && crimson optics scanning over the room, over the berths. Looking for the white frame that he knew so well.
His vents stalled. He didn’t see Skyfire among the injured. Was he already too late? Had Skyfire deactivated? Had the last thing he ever said to Skyfire meant to be the venomous words on battlefields?
Spark clenched, he looked away from the row of berths. Only to caught sight of a medic standing with...
“Sky,” he found himself shouting, darting over to where the pair now stood. He nearly wrapped up the shuttle in his arms, smile bright but somewhat watery in that he was still running on the pure emotion of hearing about the crash. “You’re alive!”
The medic quirked a brow.
“I... I mean..!” He cleared his throat, standing up straighter with wings outstretched, “you’re coming with me, Autobot.”
