Fructavis, more commonly called a Mountain Singer are small drache that riddle the mountains of Digerora. They feed on the berry clusters of Altuplatydendron frequently, using their specialized beak to do so with ease, in the process they incidentally carry pollen from one Mountain Spike-Tree to another. They are most commonly found on the Etakru Mountain Range, which has given it its name, Etakru being borrowed into Maschoran from the Etakru Peoples language meaning āSinging Mountainsā. Mountain Singers travel in small loose flocks, usually landing on an Altuplatydendron with one flock and leaving with another. When a Fructavis wants to reproduce they will begin singing a specialized song, which will attract mates, who will sing with each other to narrow down who will be oviparents and who graiparents, these āsinging flocksā are quite common. Their yellow archeina also play a role in this sexual display, the more vibrant yellow the more likely to be a graiparent, oviparents will raise their chicks alone, keeping them safe on the treetops, bringing food back for them. Once their young learn to fly they are usually abandoned by their oviparent and left to fend for themselves.
