I am trying super hard to save money. The first 1/2 of my 30th year of life was spent totally treating myself. I travelled to neat places (Puerto Vallarta, Nashville, New Orleans, and Kansas City). I ate all the things (blue crab beignets, squid ink risotto, ramen, and bbq). I bought whatever I wanted (clothes, makeup, a new rescue dog, fancy pants rug, and a new phone).
Now it is time for me to pay the piper. In the second 1/2 of my 30th year of life I want to learn to better budget my money in the hopes of one day having only 1 job, but still being able to do fun things and shop on a whim. To get a better look at my budget Frugal February is a must. I picked February because it is the shortest month in the year, then I realized 2016 is a leap year so it doesn’t even matter, luck me!
My goals for Frugal February are to only spend money on things I need. Not things I want. Therefore I shouldn’t checking my saved basket on ASOS.com to see if anything has went down, purchasing new primer from Sephora, having French 75′s reverse happy hours on Friday nights, or popping into my local coffee shop for a honey latte on my way to work. I am going to pay bills, buy groceries and work super hard.
My goal is to save enough money to pay off a small credit card I have been meaning to take care of...
Lucky me it isn’t February yet. ASOS is having a sale on winter coats. Yes, I splurged. I mean, come one, it was 50% off. :)
