This jam made from blackberry syrup is a delicious blend of tart and sweet flavors that is ideal for enhancing breakfast dishes or desserts. Making it at home is quick and simple.
Ingredients: 4 cups fresh blackberries. 2 cups granulated sugar. 1/4 cup lemon juice. 1 teaspoon lemon zest.
Instructions: Thoroughly wash and rinse the blackberries. The blackberries, sugar, lemon zest, and juice should all be combined in a big pot. Stirring continuously, heat the mixture over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves. Following a boil, lower the heat to medium-low and simmer the mixture for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the blackberries collapse and the mixture thickens. Mash any remaining whole blackberries with a fork or potato masher until the consistency you like. Simmer for a further five minutes, stirring now and then. After taking the saucepan off the stove, allow the jam made with blackberry syrup to cool slightly. Fill the sterilized jars with the jam, then screw the lids on. Before placing the jam in the refrigerator, let it cool completely. Savor the jam made from your own blackberry syrup on toast, pancakes, or as a garnish for sweets!
