nooo they dont have the 80 gb ps3 at gamestop anymore? that's what i have and mines backwards compatible and it has wifi

no gamestop near me, plus they don’t manufacture them anymore so they’re all used and i want a new one to reduce chance of it dying in the near future. i might not actually get a ps2 because the mgs hd collection is coming out and i’ll probably be able to emulate a ps2 game on my laptop the next time i wanna play one.

yea people make it out to be a lot harder than it is but some characters are really hard, but b d p q would probably be the same if you had to learn that as a not baby

exactly!! stuff like those and c & o, r & n & h, u & v, etc., are just as confusing if not more so than the similar kana for non-native learners.

i guess i just feel like if they're gonna complain about japanese just complain about kanji!! those can be hard for even native speakers so you're not even exaggerating the difficulty! kanji is always a legitimate complaint

idk at a glance it kind of sucks to tell apart imo especially if someone else is handwriting it

i don't know i've never had a problem with those two in particular? when it comes to other people's handwriting you're right though i do sometimes have to squint and ponder a few of the characters, usually when they're writing small

but i mean some people have such terrible handwriting in english that i can't understand a single word much less distinguish the individual letters (i.e. the professor/doctor problem)

in printed text i just don't think katakana is any harder than the english alphabet with the exception of shi/tsu/n/so in SOME fonts
