At a certain point of frustration I don't want to be touched. I can't physically hug my child with love and care... not because I don't love or care, not because I don't want her to calm down. But it physically hurts, like my nerves are firing off entirely too fast and just her tapping me (as she cries and keeps saying the same thing in between breathes) strikes a nerve.
