several years ago, the streaming duo im part of, Palanauts, was playing Jackbox with friends. i ended up having to go for whatever reason, so i missed out on the inception of the bit, but during Bracketeering something terrible happened.

Gronk Chungler becomes the first organic Palanauts meme. it completely consumes Jackbox and even bleeds out into a couple other games. a plotline emerges where we have to do a ritual (play Jackbox) to banish the cognitohazard of an eldritch god back to whence he came, and also at one point got him executed in Skyrim. despite our best attempts, and the creation of some new memes and entities, his presence still haunts the Palanauts discord.

cut to last year. it is a perfectly normal Twitch SMP stream. Viking is working on the tunnel to spawn. someone pops up in chat asking for suggestions for a new username. im half-paying attention. Solar, known criminal, makes a suggestion.

and Viking sees it.

it rapidly escalates.

Viking, through the power of sheer hubris, a southern accent, and a Toothless hoodie, decides to adopt Gronk Chungler as a bizarre alter ego to torment friends and chat. this includes doing things like "trying to fire Jay out of a cannon and blowing up Vintage's lawn", "committing an absurd amount of arson", "arguing with chat over if specific US states exist", and also an entire Plate Up! stream where Avid and Ruby used "chungling" as a verb

(disclaimer: he did not make Gronk Chungler canon to SBK. i dont think i couldve handled that.)

anyway now whenever Viking hits a high enough hype train one of the rewards on the table is "stream in-character as Gronk" (although he can't do it for long because it kills his voice). seeing the Tiktok migrants' reactions to it is incredibly hilarious because nobody has any idea what the hell is happening

the pinnacle happens on April Fool's Day. i wake up. Viking's discord has been renamed.

he then streamed with Legundo, Peeporp, and Shauna in-character as Gronk as they tried out Craftmine together. it was.. iconic. and was also the discovery that, for the purposes of that stream, he now has an alt account named GronkChungler with a color-inverted skin. which you have found.

also there's like an entire thing on his tiktok where he's created a monstrosity with bedrock's character creator and it is quite terrifying, and also Gronk's true form. thank you, vikingpilot.

avid and pearl go on an adventure!

scott shows up in town saying he was looking for avid and generally blatantly gaslights everyone about how he's been acting vampire-wise (and yet half the fandom believes him anyway???)

we learn a ton of avid backstory and a bit more about why he's in oakhurst! and then he goes and does something extremely hazardous to his own personal health. the risk he took was calculated but man is he bad at math

cleo finds out what he did and yells at him for being a dumbass

scott continues to blatantly gaslight people but now avid is flirting with him which is really, really funny

apparently owen has a huge freakout after legundo calls him an asshole to his face or something but this isn't in avid's pov

several of the newer vampires willingly reveal themselves to the town, but very notably not all of them

avidsode ends on a pretty sad note but not an outright bleak one

ALSO: at some point, someone makes an insane social play which we are explicitly refusing to elaborate on in terms of both timing and tactics until the players themselves find out what it was, just in case that gambit is still ongoing

ok so basically what happened was "avid learnt there was a word that meant "male pregnancy" but did not know what the word WAS". as you may expect, ruby rubyco did NOT want him to know. however, marma1ade.

since then, this happened:

and then avid proceeded to roleplay as vegeta (changed his server pfp and display name) for the next week or so. but not before sending two *separate* images of pregnant vegeta in both the sbk discord AND his own server (which viking temporarily left because of it)

(also yes he is a catmaid. has been for Months)

tldr marm enables him because she likes causing problems for everyone around her and avid. is avid.

I don't know you, but I read your fic and I DESPERATELY need to know what happened to the cat. In the GoT scenario isekai thing. Did they get taken into another dimension? Did Shadow break his lease and keep them? Did they go to the shelter??

pffft hi, this ask actually made my entire day but i was too busy to sit down and answer until now, so here we go!!

this is the fic we're talking abt. it's a shadow & legundo focused isekai fic, set in the game of thrones scenario as well as a modern au.

see, me and @stressed-sock actually talked abt the cat (which -fun fact- is basically its actual name. we did some back-and-forth with name ideas, but none of them really stuck except for 'cat') a Decent Amount. and most of it didn't make the cut (which i'm really sad abt, but irl was insistent on punching me in the face repeatedly for the last few months so. i'll take the 15k i managed to puke out happily) but since u asked.....

so. what happened to the cat?

see, by the end of this fic, shadow gets something to remember tkitn by, with the marks the kings have left in his flat and his life. every time he looks at modern!legundo (with ch 4, their relationship is implied to be on its way to being worked on) he can remember what tkitn helped him get back.

but tkitn... he has nothing. he leaves, and that's it. nothing to remember modern!shadow by, not a sign that this all wasn't just some stupid dream all the kings simultaneously had.

well. nothing, except for the cat.

he takes it back with him, and he keeps it close. both shadow and legundo, like two sides of the same coin, they both cling to the crumbs they have left of each other- things that can prove that they were friends, that they existed, that they cared about each other. even if they'll never see each other again, this way, their friendship will stay with them forever.

on a lighter note, the cat is a complete mystery to the got scenario universe. when it first arrives with legundo, everyone's like, eldritch monster?? serving our king??? ok?????? it's all a tad comical. the cat hunts a bird to bring it to tkitn and everyone thinks, wow. this must be a message from this deity to all of tkitn's enemies.

anyway, we have a lot more hcs abt the cat, but i rambled enough so i shall leave it at that!! i hope this answer was satisfying enough. thank you again for coming all this way to my blog to ask this- that's one of the best compliments anyone can offer to a writer!!
