Fry's Electronics has closed all its stores according to SF Bay Area news channel KRON & others. For many years this was a Bay Area institution, starting at a relatively small & crowded location off Oakmead Pkwy in Sunnyvale and expanding to stores across the Western US. Each with its own wild theme & decorations. I've been going there since I was a teenager in the 80s but the chain has been on the decline for most of the past decade. Competition from online, more consumer friendly stores like Best Buy & small local specialty stores sealed their fate. Farewell Fry's!
