Here, here! Listen. I know this comment was meant as a joke (for the mere fact that it was commented on a 10k word chapter opposed to the usual 5k) but this is so not the way to motivate a writer to keep writing, no matter what the rest of the comment says. I appreciate all the the patience and love for the fic, and I believe I am usually good at handling direct comments like this, but this one really kicked me in my nonexistent nuts. Even though I am lucky to have readers who I can joke around with, I would just appreciate it if some of you formulated comments a little nicer. I'm sure there are authors who get really demotivated by this type of comments so please be mindful of how you formulate them in the future.
If the commenter sees this, all love. Based on the feedback I'd gotten before and what you wrote in the rest of the comment, I'm pretty sure you meant it as a compliment (as in, it "felt" short because it's well written) and I appreciate it, I would just appreciate it more if you chose a different approach to positive feedback.

Sorry for not replying to messages/comments or updating you all on the chapter. Been a busy bee the entire summer. I've got ten pages left to edit. The chapter is about 10k words long so it's taking time to re-read it and actually stay focused enough to notice errors. See you soon with an update! Love love love to everyone
