After his shift, Jordan went home to get his clothes washed and take a proper shower. He figured he’d try and get some sleep, but the moment he pulled the duvet over his head, he knew he felt off. He had a space heater by the bed, but it paled in comparison to the heat from something as warm as a wolf. After the freezing temperatures of the lacrosse game, Jordan relied heavily on Derek to keep him warm enough to let him sleep. With a heavy sigh, he put on a few layers, packed a dry-cleaning bag of his uniform for the morning, and made his way to Derek’s apartment.
It was late at night, but he could see light from the windows outside and knew at least someone would be up to let him in. He knocked softly, clad in a large overcoat, mittens, a fur hat with ear flaps and heavy snow boots.
