If im suppose to hate him, why he is so...nicely shaped? :3
Since Ignia is back a lot of people are hoping for Nalu angst. So am I. But I don't want Ignia to hurt Lucy just hurt or mess with Natsu. Villain hurting the love interest of the male protagonist just to hurt the male the protagonist is a pretty dates and frankly a sexist trope. To Mashima's credit he stays away from that trope for the most part, and I hope it continues.
Even when Lucy was hurt and Natsu reacted to that it was never done just to get a reaction out of Natsu. Zeref knew how much Lucy means to Natsu and he wanted Natsu to be END. Hurting her would have worked. But the story didn't go down that path.
I don't mind if Lucy gets hurt because a character getting hurt is to be expected. But I don't want Ignia to use Lucy as a tool hurt Natsu.

I was rereading the earlier chapters of the 100 Year Quest and I think I trivialed this moment at the time but, holy shit, of all my years of reading literary works I'm pretty sure this is forshadowing. And if this turns out to be the push Natsu needed to see just how precious Lucy is to him (not just as a friend) then I will both hate and love Mashima for it.
I mean, think about it... Ignia would definitely, without a doubt, go out of his way to trigger Natsu. Based on his character (so far), Ignia does seem to be the type of person to do whatever the hell he wants and that may include hurting one of the gang.
Plus, the line "... you get stronger when you're emotional" was an obvious hint.
I'm telling you guys: sometimes I can't blink because I think about this line a lot now. IDK if someone else posted something similar since this chapter was out long ago, but I wanted to just point this out.
I want Natsu to pull rank with a dragon god just once. Even as a joke I NEED to know what Ignia would do if Natsu told him "I am your king".
Just pointing out we still don't know who fucked the dragon.
Now I have one question. who fucked the dragon?
