The day was not on her side. She had misplaced her gloves, gave her spare gloves from her glove department away and she knew that she was coming down with something more than sneezes. "I think my battery decided to kick the bucket ruining any plans to get groceries. Sorry, didn't want to drag you out in this terrible weather." She apologized to her boyfriend. Since the snow wasn't as heavy , Naomi felt like it wouldn't be such a bad idea to open - well it was absolutely a bad idea. She was the last to leave and the snow plow truck had pushed all the snow against her car to the point of being stuck. It already took effort to get out of her apartment parking lot hours ago. "I know I know -." Naomi paused to sneeze into her forearm. " I can always call you but it's still cold out. I do have jumper cables at the very - least." She finished with another sneeze, rolling her eyes at herself.

Renting a cabin had been the best option. A little getaway with the possibility of it being haunted. Scratch that, she was sure it was haunted. There had been tales but she was determined to survive the night. “Hey baby, On a scale of 1-10, just how haunted do you think this place is?” It felt like they were in the middle of no where so cell reception was going to be zero. “Are ghosts friendly or do you think some really be out to get us even if our souls are innocent?” She glanced around the cabin, carefully sitting her duffle on the couch.

“Okay, what’s first on the menu?” She sat next to him at the bar. Naomi had immediately clocked out as soon as she could - thankful to be leaving a little early. She went home to get dressed for the evening and pack an overnight bag. Maybe it was a little overkill to do such a bold thing, but she wanted to soak up as much time as possible with him. He had put in the effort to surprise her and here she was wanting to return the favor. “There is a little bit of everything if you want to try each drink.” She glanced at the menu. “Thank you for the gifts by the way.”

When: July 2025

Naomi tossed the plate that had crumbs left of an elephant ear in the nearby trash. She cleaned her hands as she ventured further into the carnival. It was her one free day to not worry about putting on her best customer service face and a smile. “How does one lose a tall man?” She narrowed her eyes, feeling her back pockets for her phone. She squeezed past people using find my friends. Was it healthy or weird? Who cares! “There you are. Having to almost do a search party at a carnival is crazy.” She bumped his hip. “I hope the Houdini act calls for an overly gigantic stuffed animal.” Naomi grinned. “Water guns or basketball then maybe all rides?” Was she picky no but was she about to explore every inch of the carnival for the first time in years, absolutely.

Who: Naomi & @jcksonfields When: March 17, 2025 Where: party bus / bar crawl, various

Naomi wasn't a light weight and could probably toss back as many drinks as her body would allow until she actually did get drunk. The bad thing? She knew how she was when drunk - very much a silly, goofy mood kind of gal. Decked out in a green v-neck ribbed tank and black jeans, she bear hugged her boyfriend ready for the night of being everywhere and consuming plenty. "So how many unknown green drinks are we consuming sir?" The party bus could be seen coming down the street and had finally arrived to take everyone on this little adventure. Her cheek pressed against his back before mumbling, "Does the limit not exist?" She pulled away thankful that there was no make up transfer on the back of his shirt and waited her turn to get on the bus. “I knew this would be a packed bus, but damn. This will be so entertaining, you never really know what kind of drunk people are until it happens.” She watched as others found seats while she took the window seat next to him. “I actually have no idea what the first stop is because I did not read the whole thing.” She had likely only read the time and location of where the party bus was and ultimately made sure they were both free to attend.

Who: @jcksonfields & Naomi Where: Naomi's apartment When: February 2025 "Okay, I ordered groceries this morning and we have everything that we need. Cooking is a whole different ball game than Baking, even a little easier." She tilted her head back and forth. "Sort of." Baking was a science, but she was determined to help him master both all in due time. "Burgers are easy and so is wings so we'll go for pasta... from scratch." Naomi knew it was a crazy first thing to learn. "I promise, it's not that hard, Literally just flour, eggs , oil and salt." She all the ingredients out on her island. She went into the pantry and pulled out two aprons specifically ordering a black one just for him. They had been going out every week for dinner - it was a routine at this point that she loved, but she wanted to switch it up and have a lazy afternoon. "And we can have reality tv in the back for background noise or whatever. On a scale of 1-10, how are we feeling about this?"

Consider it her civic duty as little miss sunshine to pull her friends out to do something with her. It was only 10 days into the new year and Naomi was making it a goal to have a productive one. "See, all you needed was coffee and fresh air...before I beat you." She clasped her hands behind her back.

She was by no means an athlete, but she had the spirit of one. Rock climbing had been one thing she had never done in her life who better to drag with her on the journey than JD. "So, we'll make this fun... If I win, I'll take five free lessons because you trainers are expensive. If you win, what exactly do you want if by some miracle that happens?" she inquired with a laugh.

Happy Us day Valentine’s Day , @jcksonfields

Another lovey dovey day for the books but 365 days kinda flew by because it doesn’t seem like a one year has passed. For Valentine’s Day, a t-shirt that only you would understand ( a girl is trying), some new cologne because it fit the theme of heart shaped and it gives woodsy. Lastly, hydration always because that is key. Here’s to many more.

Crying in the club again but, happy anniversary hottie! As we continue to grow, challenge and love each other..I am so thankful we got our act together on the day that used to be dreadful to ya girl. I know this next chapter is only the beginning. A candle because duh, of course I love you more. It’s not a competition sir 😒 ( okay maybe it is and I like winning okayyyyy). A ice cream machine because yes homemade ice cream is fun but hey… lazy days are important too. All the mint chip you deserve and uhhhh I may have handwritten word vomit I mean love letters in this personalized journal with doodles and tear stains on a few pages the last 365 days.
