Have I mentioned how much I love my fish
This is the current set up for the boys. I just moved to Florida and wasn’t able to bring the bigger tanks down, so both of them are in a 5 gal each. Set (the first boy) is having a harder time adjusting. It seems like he’s been tailing biting the past couple days - and I’m assuming it’s tail biting because of the damage is done only to his dorsal fin and the water parameters are fine - so I’ve added some salt and placed a towel over the wall facing Warden’s tank to limit as many stressors as I can.
Set was having a good dinner, and I was getting good pics of him. I got some nice ones of the bright colors that are always hard to catch, because he needs to be turning in order to see the little bit of green he’s getting,
I was going to do laundry and then I saw that Warden made a whole bunch of bubbles. Set has yet to make one, but it’s only been a few weeks since I’ve had him. Warden didn’t start making them for a couple months. But look all that blue and green coming to Set’s scales!!
I checked Set’s water and it’s not ammonia and it’s not nitrates and it’s not pH that’s bothering him and his fins, but I did another water change, re-added salt, and moved a couple things around in the tank to make things more interesting and I guess it’s just time to wait
my boys are so perfect
idk the general feeling about fish as familiars but all i’m saying is that Warden pretty much knows what I’m going to do as I’m about to do it, is very interested in candlelight, and he follows my finger around as I restore the sigils after each water change.
Set is still learning that the spoon means food.
Goodnight, Set. I’m sorry I couldn’t do what I needed for you. It’s a lesson learned, a hard one at that, and one I’m not soon to forget.
