Snails are just really slow acrobats
SO I FOUND OUT WHY WARDEN’S FINS KEEP TEARING. HE DOESNT LIKE THE SNAIL EGGS IN THE FILTER SO OF COURSE HE STICKS BIG FAT HEAD IN THERE TO ATTACK THEM.
Got some more snails, nerites this time. Not too worried about them with Warden, since he’s been doing fine with the golden inca snails. He just flares at them sometimes and follows them around if they climb up a tall plant.
The moneywort has grown a lot of roots. I got tired of trying to replant it every time the snails climbed the stalks so I’ve been letting it float. The roots are wrapping around the driftwood and making a really nice little jungle for the guy. I know I’ll find him resting in the tangles in the morning.
idk the general feeling about fish as familiars but all i’m saying is that Warden pretty much knows what I’m going to do as I’m about to do it, is very interested in candlelight, and he follows my finger around as I restore the sigils after each water change.
Set is still learning that the spoon means food.
Also have a Warden being judgemental
Have I mentioned how much I love my fish
This is the current set up for the boys. I just moved to Florida and wasn’t able to bring the bigger tanks down, so both of them are in a 5 gal each. Set (the first boy) is having a harder time adjusting. It seems like he’s been tailing biting the past couple days - and I’m assuming it’s tail biting because of the damage is done only to his dorsal fin and the water parameters are fine - so I’ve added some salt and placed a towel over the wall facing Warden’s tank to limit as many stressors as I can.
my boys are so perfect
