"I loved that team up! Well, besides the whole getting hurt part but it turns out I got the best nurse ever with me.” Cindy spoke jokingly, trying to dispel the serious mood. It seemed like the kid was taking her injury more to heart than she was even though she had told him it would heal completely by tomorrow.
“Hey,” she caught his attention, bringing his gaze up from her injured arm to finally meet her eyes. Leaning forward, she placed a soft kiss on the tip of his nose and laughed at the owl eyed expression she received for it. “Thank you. That could have gone a lot worse for me if you hadn’t jumped in to save my sorry ass.”
