There was no denying that tension seemed to be filling the air with a fair few campers. He'd tried to avoid prying too much for now, figuring anything that needed to be passed along would be down the line, and he was doing his best to give space.

But, then he caught Jesse at the training grounds, and had to just watch how the other worked for a bit. Taking up blades had been a pretty easy thing, apparently part of who he was, or just... Mental encouragement from this song in his blood. Maybe a guiding hand, he didn't really know. But the way the other demigod was working with a bow was... Captivating might've been a word for it, but he was mostly just watching his face.

"Hey, fancy giving a newbie some tips with that?" He could offer himself as a distraction at least.

Gabriel wasn't entirely sure why his feet had led him here of all places. He'd been jumping from distraction to distraction for most of the day, playing over what he could have done better when Pandora's Box had tried to force itself open in the middle of the dining hall. How much more he should have done. Diverted off to add Oliver before he could take so much damage, move in to a better position to try and get more of their attention. Idle thoughts roaring in his ears as he tried playing it in his head over and over again, knowing it wasn't his forte. Deep thinking. Tactics. He relied so heavily on instincts, trying to go back and assess was probably a useless endeavour.

By the time he'd realized quite how futile an endeavour it was, he was already lingering outside the son of Apollo's cabin. Thankful he'd at least had enough guidance of what was wear to pick out which demigod's cabin was which. And, well.

One hand lifted to knock, tentative. What if he was disturbing him in the middle of something? What if he wasn't in? Or maybe he had company? He...

Gabriel mostly just needed a distraction and Jesse had been.. Welcoming as hell.
