Penny & Nathan

Nathan was one of the very first people Penny met when she returned to Carroll. First at the grocery store where they chatted while she paid for the few things she'd gotten, and then again outside the bar before she'd gone in for her interview. It was Nathan who put in a good word for her with the owner and got her the job. She's forever in his debt.

Nathan was one of the first people to know about her living situation. After she'd thanked him for his help in getting the job, they'd spent the evening chatting and hanging out around town. Penny told him how she used to come there in the summers, but mostly ran with Jesse's crowd when she was there. How she'd always wanted to live there and now she did. Nathan offered her a place to stay if she needed, and appreciative of that she kissed him. It was the only time they ever kissed because Nathan kept things strictly platonic between them, which Penny never minded.

Penny truly thinks that she was always meant to be Nathan and Emily's friend. The moment he introduced the pair of girls, she seemed to just click with them, and theirs is one of the most easy and natural friendships she's ever had. She'd do just about anything for them, and after realizing how in love they are, she'd made her mission to get those two stubborn love birds together.

Penny would give her left tit to become a character in one of Nathan's comics. She thinks he's incredibly talented and never fails to hype him up when she gets to read them. When he asked her what kind of superpower she'd want if she could pick any of them, she went on a long tangent about this power over that power, weighing the pros and cons, and in the end decided it'd be best to let fate decide.
