Considering the circumstances of my embrace I should never have been so bitter in the past about it taking so long before being presented to the Prince of the region at the time. 

Even then I knew my sire had no right to create me - my existence for a long time was only permitted under a condition of secrecy by my grandsire. That and I’m aware that I was a useful pawn in making sure she did his bidding. 

Fairly sure he didn’t have direct permission to sire her either though - my bloodline is a fucking wreck by Ventrue standards if I am to be quite honest.

april had spent a majority of the ball interviewing different people for elias daily. being an intern was not really the ideal title but the fact they trusted her to take a few pictures and interview guests was progress from when she first started at the publishers. pulling the camera up she took a few shots of different people as they walked around the beautiful ballroom. when she zoomed in on someone she knew-- well, someone who was a friend of donnie’s. but, a friend of donnie might as well be a friend of her’s right? 

gaining the courage to compliment april walked right over. thankful that the skirt of her dress was detachable and turned the yellow gown into a nice fitting jumper. “not to be a total creep but you look bangin’ in that suit!”
