IT WAS BARBARA’S FIRST TIME OUT IN PUBLIC SINCE THE ACCIDENT. dick had insisted on taking her out on the town and she wanted to shirk away in the confines of her apartment. confined to a chair she felt almost claustrophobic. eventually when they stopped in front of the fair with the glimmering bright light casting down on her she tugged on dick’s sleeve. “ can we just go home? “ she asked with a slight pout of her full lips. “ I just...don’t feel like being out here. “ she rubbed her lips together. this was another reminder of all she had lost.
