Molly wasn't part of the Order but that didn't mean she didn't give any intel over. Edgar was her point person. He was trustworthy, would keep her anonymous if she asked and was one of her oldest friends. He would take care of her, not only as a friend but also as someone of importance to the cause. She may not have been a member but she believed in everything the Order was.

She did have access to Order Headquarters and Edgar had asked her to meet him there. She didn't ask any questions. If her dear friend needed something from her she was there. As Molly entered the room she saw Edgar sitting, waiting for her to arrive.

"And here I was thinking I would be early. You always beat me to the punch, Bones." Molly pulled up a chair and sat next to him. "So tell me. What brings me here?"

Leaning up against a door frame of the fine dining establishment - fingers traced the familiar wood grain as if she could pluck the precious memories from the fibers of the beams before clearing her throat. Red high heels crossed one over the other as she leaned further, jeans hugging curves like a lover and a fine shirt - rather casual for the Anvil. It felt like a set-up by mama and the aunties to make plans and then cancel only to see Edgar there looking the way he always did. She'd have some words for the women of the nguyen family that liked to meddle in her mangled married state "Hello there, stranger. Seems like the aunties set me up good - care to partner up for this or are you just here to eat?"

I’m still quite scattered, but knowing the guy I quite fancy fancies me back makes things a bit more bearable. Anyway, I wanted to give at least a bit of those feelings back. Fabian headed over to Edgar’s flat after work, almost a second home considering how often he was there. Third home, if you counted his office. Fourth, the Burrow. Alright, fifth, considering he and Gideon lived apart but practically shared an apartment anyway. It was difficult to measure a long-lasting friendship when you had a twin, a best friend since even before birth, but Edgar too, he felt had always been there. The thing was, they were perfectly made to be friends. Their families had always approved and pushed them together, politics aligning exactly (or rather, the lack of politics). But Fabian and Gideon had liked Edgar for more than that and as a trio, they'd made their parents regret putting them together, quite proudly shaking up that quieter existence.  

A Muggle pub would be just the thing, Fabian thought with excitement. He was less experienced in the Muggle world than Edgar was, but he’d come prepared, with his visits to Muggle fairs alongside Arthur and the boys helping him, Fabian was sure. He was comfortable in the clothes he always wore to the fairs, not so different from robes, really, very loose. He always received a compliment on them from the Muggles, who usually had something very similar on themselves. Sometimes, they even asked for one of their bizarre unmoving photos with him. A few had told him he just needed a sword to complete the look; Fabian had smiled, politely puzzled. “Mate! I hope you know your way around Muggle London. I mean to do this the proper way. No Apparating if we get lost.”

The last time they’d seen each other, Fabian had hinted at his most recent encounter with Bellatrix - he was fairly certain that was why Edgar had invited him out now. Edgar had always been there for Fabian the first time that had gone down in flames, so much so that Fabian had rather wondered if he’d been mistaken in more than just choosing Bellatrix, maybe he’d missed that someone better for him had always been there. But that didn’t matter, and he shook the thought away as he kept knocking, just as he had back then. Their friendship was unchanged by any of it, a true constant even as the rest of their lives became chaotic.

“Oh, I’m quite sentimental, there are so many. Emery of course, Edgar, sweet Irvin and Rianne, Orion and Judah, dear Ori... I could go on.

...There’s a tall librarian who I quite fancy... But I’ll leave that there for now.”

Sophia couldn't think of an activity that was more in her wheelhouse than a festive crafts day. She hadn't stopped smiling since she arrived a few hours earlier, and that smile only brightened when she spotted Edgar settling down at one of the arts stations nearby. Her hands clasped together as she moved closer, looking between Edgar and the supplies on the table. "I was hoping you'd stop by, handsome. I believe congratulations are in order. Are you excited?"
