He felt like he’d never get over the EMOTIONAL turmoil of wanting to run. For Credence, it still felt like he had made the wrong choice. This man may have given him the one thing he needed, but his loyalty only fell to him because he had nowhere else to go. Leaving Nagini behind had never been the plan, either, but he couldn’t FORCE her to join Grindelwald, even if he wanted to. Missing something was an emotion he often dealt with, but with Nagini, it literally felt like someone had stabbed his heart out. She had been through so much with him. His only REAL friend and he had left her behind, much like he had left his sisters behind.
His attention turned to the phoenix sat on his perch in the corner, a small smile playing on the brunette’s features. It was so odd to see the bird so big now. He remembered the little thing relying on him for food, and now it seemed like the roles had changed. Credence was relying on him. “What?” He muttered to the bird, moving to run his fingers over his bird’s feathers only to get pecked in the process. “That was mean.” Sometimes talking to something that couldn’t talk back was... easier than trying to carry conversations with those in the castle. At the approaching footsteps, Credence turned his attention to those approaching him. Abernathy. Ugh. He didn’t like that man, but he hadn’t come alone.
