heath stood barefoot at the stove in worn sweatpants, the sleeves of his vintage van halen concert tshirt shoved up. his brows furrowed in concentration as he flipped the last round of pancakes. willa was sitting on the floor in her unicorn pajamas and mismatched socks, legs tucked under her, feeding the final syrup slick bite of her pancake to buddy. dixie waited her turn, eyes locked on the prize “willa” heath warned without looking “quit feedin’ the dogs all yer damn breakfast will ya?”

another pancake dropped onto a plate - the neatest one yet - and the man reached for the blueberries, carefully scattering them across the top. he didn’t turn as he heard the front door click; he just slid the plate to the side of the counter like he’d timed it “that’s yers right there, darlin'. extra blueberries. no burn” heath said to jane as she entered the kitchen.

behind him, the dogs were licking syrup from the floor, willa pretending not to notice. he ran a hand through his hair, exhaling quietly “she swears they said ‘please’” added, almost as an afterthought. a playful grin on his lips

Ray was infatuated. He had never been so in love with anyone before. During his travels he put pen to paper many a time. But the one that mattered the most was when he wrote a song, for the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

"....Mmm, life is so much easier with you by my side..."

Warm guitar music filled the space infront of his trailer that evening. Only one thought, and one thought only going through his mind.

"....our love goes rings around the sun..." He sang, eyes starting to fill with tears. As the guitar music faded, Ray did the only thing he had always had on his mind.

Stepping to her, he knelt down to one knee.

"Jane Porter....would you make me the happiest man in the world....and marry me?"

felix was riding on his motorcycle through town. he loved the feeling it gave him. the freedom, the endless thrill. even though he knew he couldn’t be hurt—not really—if something went wrong, there was the temptation of it, all the same. sometimes, he just wanted a reminder that he wasn’t entirely indestructible. he wished it worked more often than it did. as he was riding, he saw a familiar face, and jerked his bike to a stop.

“jane!” he called out. “my favorite target to annoy, and just in time, too, i was feeling an awful spout of boredom coming on.”

If Jane wanted to move back to London, would you go with her?

"D-Did she say something to you?" Ray seemed a little nervous, scrubbing a hand across the back of his neck. "Well, I mean, I'd have to talk to my family about it first, because you know the business. But, y-yeah. I mean of course if she asked me to go with her, I would yes."

“Let’s just sit in our pajamas and watch Christmas movies all day.”

Ray let out a cheer of happiness, jumping up from his perch on his couch to wrap Jane into a tight hug. "You know, this is why I like being with you. I swear our minds are on the same wave length. Now, I don't want you to be weirded out, but I may have found matching PJS for this exact occasion."
