“HEY KID, I THINK we should have a little talk, yeah?” jd said, it wasn’t much of a question as the taller of the two slung a strong arm around the boy’s shoulder. had he caught him making out with cady earlier? yes. had he waited for the perfect moment to get him alone? absolutely. jd was smarter than he let on, and he chugged the rest of his drink and slid the empty glass onto the counter as her guided the boy out of the crowd and turned to him. “so, how long you been macking down on cady for?” no one ever said he was exactly subtle about things, that was for sure.
