The words on the page blurred into meaningless shapes as Luna's fingertips painted lazy trails across Holly's skin. She could feel the warmth of the sun and the weight of those touches weaving together like a secret only her body could understand. Holly then shifted slightly, catching the way Luna's hand hesitated at the edge of her ribs. It was strange how safe she felt despite the ache blooming in her stomach, the way Luna's touch seemed to memorize every curve, every inch of her. She closed the book and let it fall forgotten to the sheets, her eyes locking onto Luna's without breaking the spell. "Stop it," she murmured softly, breath hitching just enough to betray her command. "You're making it impossible to focus." But maybe, just maybe, she didn't want to focus. However, the reality of what they were doing suddenly filled her thoughts — she was Luna's husband's assistant, and the lines they were crossing shouldn't exist. They really shouldn't be doing this. Yet, in this quiet, sunlit moment, those rules felt far away, like a distant echo she wasn't ready to face just yet. "I know we shouldn't be doing this... But it feels like everything else just doesn't matter right now."
