Amelia: Hey! Amelia: So! Amelia: Things I know: You're insanely beautiful and at some point or another last weekend I told you that I wanted to kiss your face. Amelia: Things I am unsure on: Is your name ACTUALLY Jaffie or was that a slightly insane drunken typo?

“Man, I could just... fight someone right now.” Jack groaned as he threw his head back over the swivel chair he’d been slowly spinning on. “Foam, tickles, pillows, mud,” He counted on his fingers. “Truly they could pick their weapon - anything! - and I’d be here for it.” All this energy inside of him seemed to be fighting its way out of this chair, out into the open air - it’s only natural that Jack’s instinct was to listen and follow. Albeit nobody’s favourite pastime on a Saturday evening to be his entertainment, which is why he’d hoped to find kindred spirits at the gym. Looking for Maggie specifically, he’d been told to sit and wait cause the way he’d been pacing back and forth could’ve set anyone on edge. Now, he’d made himself a little too comfortable in a desk chair and had settled nicely into a state of complaining. “Seriously, I’m this close to taking yoga to the extreme if it means you’ll join me.” He clapped his hands, earning himself a chuckle.

“Uh... Marry Rosa. Bit obvious, that one. Hm... Kill Maggie because I, uh... I’m not marriage material, apparently, and I just fuckin’... sobbed into my blouse about it. Hurts so fuckin’ bad. Then, uh... Fuck Saige, hypothetically, though I dunno if I’d... do it again, realistically, but. She’s nice.”

It had surprised Lacey when Maggie had invited her over to her apartment, considering they hadn’t made leaps and bounds with their relationship by any matter of means. It had been around a year since Lacey had found out about her half-sister and asked to meet up. Maggie wasn’t what Lacey had expected in a sister, far from it, but she was family and Lacey was determined to get to know the younger girl. Their lives were different in almost every possible way, as were their personalities. The important thing was that the walls between them were slowly coming down, piece by piece, every time they met up or talked.
Thinking about Maggie showing her pictures and trinkets that had belonged to her as a child scared Lacey. She had tried her damnedest to seperate herself from her father, and had done a pretty good job of it until her mother had spilled to her that he’d had a child with his wife. Lacey couldn’t just let that go despite their father being what bonded them. The one thing that Lacey had tried to ignore. Her mother had no pictures of her father, and the only thing she’s kept from their time together was a button from a gathering where they had first met. Not exactly unique or personal, but Lacey had told herself it didn’t matter. That she didn’t care. Not she was getting a chance to peek into her father’s life. A life that she knew nothing about, except for the secret he’d kept from his wife and child. Lacey didn’t know what to think in the slightest.
She walked up to her sister’s apartment, shifting her purse on her shoulders. A patient had called her right before she had been about to leave her own apartment, and she could only hope that Maggie wouldn’t be too upset. Lacey knocked on the door and waited for her sister to answer, her body stiff and palms sweaty as she tried to calm down.

"come on, maggie..." she said softly to her daughter. the six-year-old had a horrible cough. she'd been running a fever. willow felt bad for her because she knew exactly how she felt. "i know the medicine tastes yucky, but it's going to make you feel better, honey." as she heard her front door open, she wasn't sure who it was but she also wasn't too concerned about it until she saw who it was. she stared at them like a deer in headlights. they hadn't met maggie yet. they hadn't known about her yet. why the fuck did she give them a key to her house when she hadn't told them about maggie? "mommy, who's that?" maggie asked in a whisper.
