Cameron blinked, caught off guard by the dry edge in Phoebe's voice. He wanted to brush it off, to play it cool like he always did, but something about the way she said it? Like she'd been bracing for disappointment all along? It made it damn near impossible to keep the usual persona up. He let out an amused chuckle, sliding his hands into the pocket of his hoodie. "Yeah, guess I've done something right," he said, lifting his shoulders into a simple shrug. "But you know, you look... Exactly how I remember. Like nothing's changed at all, and maybe that's the problem." Cameron awkwardly ran his hand over the back of his neck, more out of nerves than anything else. "I don't know if I'm supposed to be proud or sorry to see you." He briefly glanced away for a second, then met Phoebe's eyes again... The same ones he never got tired of looking into in the past. "Meet and greet fee? Nah, I'm pretty sure you get the exes discount... But I can't promise it's gonna come with any refunds." He gave her a little teasing smile before allowing another small fit of amused laughter to escape. "I'm not here to sell you anything, Phoebe. Just... Didn't expect to see you after all this time, I guess."
