rachel stands behind rj , hands wringing together as she peeks over his shoulder and leans on her toes to watch his skilled fingers press at the buttons on his ds . she bites her lip as he tries to catch a pokemon only for the pokeball to ultimately fail . "damn !" she exclaims quietly without thinking . when rachel realizes she's blown her cover of silently watching , she grimaces and shakes her head . "sorry , i was just -" she gestures towards his ds . "that looks really fun ."

loki felt as if they should’ve seen this coming. that something bad would happen again and now the rescue team were presumably either dead or stranded on that planet. and as much as part of loki wanted to not care, loki knew that she did care. for thor, at least. he was her brother, and he treated her with kindness despite that loki wasn’t always deserving of it. she was grateful to thor. but would she admit this to his face? no, of course not.

with the lack of archers on the planet at the moment, loki found herself at the archery range that she assumed one of them had set up. not to use a bow, but to throw knives. her daggers appeared in her hand one after another as she stood at a distance from the targets and threw them. sensing a presence, she turned on her heel, arm raised and ready to throw another knife at the person. though, upon seeing that it was a child -- at least as far as her standards went --, she lowered her arm. “have there been any updates on the rescue team?” she asked as she turned back to the targets and threw another knife.

Raining rangers

Billie had landed on Dillon’s car with a resounding thud. Moments later, it was Jason who came charging in (which wasn’t too bad considering he’d been struggling to stand moments before).  “Billie, what did you do?” Jason was angry-mostly because he hadn’t been able to protect his team, but he was also angry that they’d been taken away from the fight.

“I tapped into the core of the morphing grid to teleport us to wherever here is,” Billie said tiredly. She blinked up at him in the same manner many others did when she talked about science, but that was only because she was drained in more ways than one.

“Send us back! There’s no telling what Tommy did to Zordon and Alpha, and he probably took the white power for himself-”

“I can’t do that, Jason.” Billie’s voice was very tired, but Jason didn’t notice-at least not yet.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T? SEND US BACK RIGHT NOW!” Jason was yelling now-mostly at the situation more so than at Billie, but she was getting the brunt of it anyway.

“Jason,” Billie said quietly, closing her eyes, “it took a lot of power to get us here-more power than most humans can handle. I’m surprised it didn’t kill me. Zordon and Alpha would want us to live, and Tommy was going to take the power anyway, along with our lives. Chances are you would have been first. You’re welcome. If you’re going to yell, go yell at someone else, because I hurt too much to move. And if you want to go back and get yourself killed, find your own way home.”

“Billie-” Jason started to say.

“You heard her-move. You’re too close to my car.” Dillon walked over, having been listening to most of the exchange. He gave Jason his usual glare, and when Jason didn’t move, Dillon proceeded to shove him out of the way.

“Hey man, what’s your problem?”

“I told you, you’re too close to my car.”

“But Billie’s on your car.”

“And Billie’s going to fix it too, but that’s after she’s recovered from risking her life for your ungrateful ass,” Dillon drawled. “Now get out of my garage before I call Tsuki, and believe me, you don’t want me to call Tsuki.

“Hey, you!” RJ poked his head in the garage. “You know anything about making pizza?”

“Me? I-” Jason started to say.

“Perfect! Come with me.” RJ had an impeccable sense of timing- he’d arrived just in time to come into the garage and drag a protesting Jason away-but not before winking over his shoulder at Dillon.

“Thanks,” Billie murmured to Dillon once Jason and RJ had left.

“I just wanted him away from my car, you know.”

“Of course, but I appreciate it anyway.” He was one of those, then-didn’t like to admit it when he stood up for people. Well, she appreciated it anyway. “I really will fix your car. I’d love to look at it...when I don’t hurt.”

“I should probably have Tsuki take a look at you,” Dillon grumbled. “Come on.” And with that, he picked her up and carried her out of the garage. By all rights he should have taken her to Tsuki’s lab, but he took her to his room instead. It was quieter there because most of the time he was left alone, and it would be more comfortable (though of course he wouldn’t admit that). He set Billie down on the bed and said, “I’m going to have Tsuki take a look at you. You can sleep if you want.”

“Oh good,” Billie said. “Smoke if you got em.” And with that, Billie passed out.
