sharpay, in all honesty, still wasn’t entirely sure what to say on that matter, so when gabriella questioned it once more, she simply looked away from her. it just made her uncomfortable, the whole situation and the whole memory. “ gabriella, all boys are dumb. i don’t know how you haven’t seen that yet, ” the blonde commented, the expression in her eyes very much one of a distant sort of boredom. however, she pursed her lips, swiftly looking into her wing mirror to check how her hair was holding up. “ he’s brilliant, but he’s still a man, and unfortunately that’s an ailment no man can overcome. it’s a sad reality of life. ” the only men she didn’t stick those tags onto were her dad and ryan, predominantly ryan, and though she’d never say it… zeke made it in there too. “ go if you want, i’ve not locked you in, ” she responded with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders, fingertips curling around the wheel of her car as she settled back into position. her blue optics danced over to the darker headed girl to her side as she awaited a response, one perfectly precise was quirked. “ either go or we go get the mani pedis i promised, your call. ”
after the years of knowing the blonde, she hadn’t ever really heard her talk about how she really felt, beyond her desire to be the center of the stage. emotions didn’t seem to be her thing, at least those deep feelings that gabriella tended to drown herself in, and she could tell that was still the case as sharpay refused to look at her. “but....troy isn’t just any other boy-” she stopped herself, this was a lost cause, and she leaned back into the seat a bit as she gazed out the window. “right.” the brunette murmured, albeit a little defeated, as she closed her eyes to shut out the troy thoughts. it was hard, he pretty much was always on her mind, even more so now that she’d seen him again. part of her really did want to stay, see what sharpay had been up to for old times sake, but another part of her that was way bigger was telling her to just go. fight of flight, she was always one to fly, and she reached down to grab her bag, “i think....i’m gonna go.”
