draco had never gotten the chance to get to know his cousins. the family he had that his mother had remained close to... were nothing like sirius. throughout third year, he had had to pretend to be afraid of this murderer on the loose, knowing that there were much more sinister things happening in his own home. after that, all he had were the stories he heard from others. that was how he’d ended up inviting sirius to lunch at chez licorne. “...how close were you to my mother in childhood?” this is the first question he’s asked.
