+ closed starter - cosy dads thread pt. i (  @sainiik & @harrissoonn ) | Clearing his throat, Arlo surveyed the faces of the two men across from him as they were sprawled out on a blanket in the garden. At this point he wasn’t following along with the topic of conversation, that being ventriloquy, but he was doing his best to seem engaged as he nodded along to their words. He wasn’t sure exactly how he was meant to properly formulate the the words he’d had in mind, or if there was a proper way to introduce such a subject, but he decided it was now or never. His lips parted once there was a pause in the conversation, “So,” He begins, propping his head up with his hand, “I’m going to propose to Shanley.” It was a fact, and there was nothing he had in mind, nor something anyone could really say that was going to shake the idea from him, he’d already bought the ring after all. Although he wasn’t too sure what their reactions would be, he was content with it -  it wasn’t as if he was asking for their permission, but more so hoping for their well wishes.
