@twitlonger:no-Benito: I know I am going to get so much crap for this from @shawnmendes but I do not care at all. Yes this is about him, and I'm not ashamed to say so. Because my brother: Jesus this kid has done so much. I remember walking into his room when I was twelve, and asking him to come play video games. "After this video." A year later, we're thirteen. I go to ask him if he wants to go play street hockey with the neighborhood boys. "After I learn this chord." A few more years go by, and we're fifteen. We're in high school, and we're being stupid with our time. I teased him about his videos, saying that there were probably girls fawning all over him while watching these videos. At 16, he was on tour with these weird girls and this one guy who seemed pretty okay. He was doing pretty good, and I was proud. But I never told him that. I struggled through days at high school where he stayed sat on a bus doing Chemistry. Soon enough he got signed. Our entire family was amazed by how far he's gotten. He released a song when he came home. I asked him if he wanted to chill out in the basement. "After this live stream." He released an EP. And then he went on tour with Taylor Swift. He released an album. And then he went on his own tour. All through his years he kept up with his fitness, his fans, his family, his school work, and finding himself. Today I watched my brother walk off a stage (very confused at that) with a diploma he rightfully earned. He's spoken out on several occasions to defend his stance, and he's helped out so many people around the world go through what he himself was going through. Life. And god I am so proud to be his brother. And I'm so proud to have an individual like Shawn in my life. Congratulations Shawn. On everything you've accomplished up to today, and everything that shall come.
