Not quite that downy. My animal form matches my normal body in age, so I was closer to an older fledgling rather than a nestling like this one. I had some downs on my back and chest though when I first transformed.

I bet that was still incredibly cute and fluffy.

Does athena have to preen her wings like a bird or does being a goddess come with the perks of less maintenance?? Also is she limited to an owl diet when she is in that form??? Has she ever eaten a mouse?? ( i mean no offense athena you're my fave🥺🥺)

I do have to keep my wings clean. I used to preen them manually when I was younger but Hephaestus since came up with a machine that speeds up the process considerably.

Since I'm a divine owl so to speak, I don't really have to worry about owl dietary needs. I don't spend that much time in my animal form. I have caught mice before, and I ate one once, but the taste transferred over to my humanoid form and that was honestly quite disgusting, so I refrain from it now. I can eat regular food as well without consequences, it just tastes a bit odd depending on what it is.

Just how fluffy is Athena's owl form? If you were to poke her, how much of your finger would be consumed by feathers before hitting skin?

Okay, listen closely, I tried this and got bitten for it back in the day, so let me give you the secret insight. It's about two-thirds of the finger deep. It's extremely fluffy. *conspiratorially* Maybe she'll let me without biting me one of these days.

What are some things that you all want to do once Athena is better? I have a feeling Telemachus will want Athena to take him flying.

Oh, flying with Athena sounds fun, I'd love to if she wants to. I also do want to learn how to fight. I don't really want to be in a war, but I do want to be able to defend myself if necessary.

I want to learn either weaving or embroidery, depending on what Pen and Athena want to teach me. I'd prefer not to wield a sword for a while so a new hobby sounds good.

I really don't care what we do as long as we spend time together. I don't think much about it right now because we have other matters to deal with.
