Skyler placed the takeout bag on the seat beside her outside Caleb’s room. She had just gone back from buying some snacks despite Sage’s protests. She figured that they could at least enjoy some nuggets, wings, and chips that night, since it’s New Year’s Eve and all. She took her phone out and started typing, smiling unconsciously as she did so. “They have sour cream & onion fries. Be here ASAP or I’ll finish it all.”
