We surround ourselves with it. We keep it everywhere. Time, we are constantly checking a watch or our phones for the time. We always want to know what time it is. We are always waiting for something, counting down. We constantly try to live in the future or a different time. Little do we think about what is happening at the moment, but our minds are fixated on the future. Our minds cannot let go of what will happen, what just happened. We are never ignoring time and just letting ourselves be, we are simply waiting... Waiting for an event, waiting for something to happen... Waiting.... Waiting... Why should we? Why should we wait, when we can do. Why should we wait for something, a period of waiting is nothing. It is not living. We are stationary, we don't move. We don't do anything as we wait. We need to move, we need to be constantly living for right now instead of waiting for the next hour. The funny thing about always thinking about the future and past, is that the only way to change what will be the past and future is to change the present. The only way to create a better, more enjoyable, future or a more memorable past, is to change what we are currently doing. Thus, you cannot keep one foot of your mind in the past, and the other in the future. That leaves us with no time to think about the present. Keep both feet in the present. Live for the moment, not the next moment.
