Hard agree. #Repost @stephishappening • • • • • • Tampa, Florida Today Disney, Knotts and Universal announced that they don’t think it’s fair that their California theme parks can’t be open like Florida’s theme parks and they intend to sue the state. Despite knowing that COVID kills BIPOC at a rate that is double the rate that white people are dying at, they think this is a good position. They could use the money they will spend to sue to pay their employees to stay home... but no. Lawyers need money more than the poverty level wages they pay their lowest employees. I posture that these parks never cared about Black people and POC and they continue to show us this by their actions. It can be hard to see the patterns in actions, but I ask you to connect the dots and make your actions match your values by not giving these businesses your money. I am not renewing my passes and I don’t intend to give them my money or step foot in their parks for pleasure for the foreseeable future. Knotts is just pathetic in this effort as they couldn’t even muster a social media post to say that they agree Black Lives Matter. I can’t respect a company that forces people making $10 an hour to work in the face of COVID while their corporate office works from home. Those people aren’t less than those in the corporate offices, yet the execs aren’t taking pay cuts while they lay people off. It’s embarrassing. Ben Solo was alive throughout all the movies, struggling to come out and to later be redeemed. He had no one to come back to no one that he felt loved him. Rey appears. But yet he got like ten seconds of hapiness being 100% Ben Solo because apparently that’s all the hapiness he deserved from struggling with his inner demons before even being born. While Anakin got to marry the love of his life and have children but Ben doesn’t deserve a happy ending a reversal of Anakins happy beginning???
