please only speak my name with vibrations of holy descent. please give me back my precious youth. in shimmering armor, i guard all of me that seems weak. i’m but a buoy given purpose by the sea.

okok i’m done pretending i’m innocent. i love hearing that you talk about me. i feel so powerful. i hope you carve my initials into you. i hope you know i don’t cry over you anymore. i rarely even think of you on my own anymore. but baby please don’t forget about me. please always be there for me and swoon over my writing. no one will love you like i did so there’s no point. you’re mine forever but i will never be yours again.
i’d bet my life on bad odds
and sell my soul to false gods
the things we want most in life we could not shoplift even if we tried
you didn’t like this forest but
i do i like it a lot
and ben likes it sometimes
but it makes him sad
things are so fuckedbup
and my grave will succumb to a golf course and i will be forgotten
there are two types of people
those who would rather die now
those who would rather live forever
the human condition part ii
if it were to rain, we’d have to just be ok with that. life is a constant struggle against the forces of the universe. that’s all it is. life is struggling against hunger and exhaustion. life is fighting against your own emotion and the emotion of others.
however, one could argue that it’s not so much as a struggle as it is working with the grain. you could argue that humans are automatically born into a system in which they are weaving through.
either way, it’s a process. it’s hard work. even those born into the most privileged of lives are experiencing these human conflicts. these are the hard truths. it’s too easy to slip into the idea that anyone can coast through life.
