A side note on the subject of music: I was once asked to explain what the fuck I meant when I told someone that a bass line was "fucking filthy" and I STILL can't figure out what the hell that means. It's like obscenity: I know it when I see it. I know pure filth when I hear it but I can't quantify it.

The filthier the better. I want bass that makes me want to shower. The bass line should feel as sticky as it looks. The bass line needs to make me feel like Cardi made me feel when he first wandered into my life. That bass line needs to make me feel things I never felt before and contemplate if I'm actually a whole different type of pervert than I thought. That bass line needs to wrap its groady little notes around my throat and whisper eldritch erotica in my ear. If that bass line doesn't fuck me into the stars I don't want your fucking bass line.
