Hi! I’m sorry this is like super eons well past Christmas. I could tell you why but none of it sounds like anything but excuses anymore and they’re gonna be the same old which I’m pretty sure you are all so so so tired of hearing at this point. So, in lieu of that, let me just present you with a mini sneak peek, just to let you guys know that there are absolutely no plans for me to abandon this fic, and yes I am working on it somewhat and I love you guys and will see this through the end if it’s the last thing I do. Thanks for the patience, and without anymore chitchat and further ado, here’s a tiny, short sneak peek to tide you guys over (hopefully)

ChapterFifteen

April came breezing in and along with it came the gorgeousshades and hues of Spring. The lands were awash with soft colors that signaledthe upcoming summer, the flowers were now beginning to bloom, making everythinglook lovely and making a sense of hope and new beginnings float along with thegentle breeze. The temperatures were still low, bordering on freezing coldness,to be honest, but the promise of summer lingered in the air. Even when it wouldstill rain at any point in any given day, it was still better than the long,freezing winter months.

Cora basked in the elusive sunshine and breathed in thesalty, spring air, letting it fill her lungs and boost her energy. Currently,she was strolling down the shoreline hand in hand with Robert, both of themjust taking in their surroundings and the rare days that they actually had thetime off.

It was a weekend, a long one at that, as Cora happened tonot have any lectures on Monday and Robert had decided to take a well deservedleave so he could take her to Cornwall. It was a thoughtful thing for him to o,and she appreciated the gesture. He knew just how much the impending end of thesemester was stressing her out, and she needed the break as much as he. Despitethe dropping temperatures, she still liked being at the seaside, and as thewind blew against her skin and Robert’s hand tightened its hold on hers, shecould not think of any other place she’d rather be in.

She looked up at him, a soft smile gracing her lips, andpushed her body closer to his. His warmth encompassed her as he wrapped an armaround her shoulder, pulling her close to him as any barriers would allow. She likedmoments like this on, when it’s just the two of them and the comfortable silencethat has now settled between them

“What?” he asked, looking down at her with a soft smile, knowingthat she had been staring.

“Nothing,” she murmured, letting her head fall onto his shoulder.His arm tightened around her and he dropped a ghost of a kiss against her forehead.“I just love you, is all.”

She could feel him smile against her hair and then he kissedher again, this time on her lips, tipping her chin up and staring deep down herblue eyes. “I love you too,” he murmured, and Cora had felt more wonderful in allher life.
