there's an alternative reading of the information of devcamp being optional for alex/porter/denver where it IS optional. for denver and porter, who are almost guaranteed a roster spot next season. Porter is the New FaceTM so theres no chance he spends time in lehigh, and Denver is the New Captain, and a very publicly facing piece here. Y'know who doesn't have the same protection, media or rosterwise? alex. For alex, as much as he complains about this being the fifth dev camp, he also knows he has to be there. Can he handle being in the AHL without Denver and Porter?? Knowing maybe if he had done this thing or that, he'd be up with the team?
