Edit: OHO, YOU'RE REALLY GETTING THE V //FLIPS ALL THE TABLES//
stiles. stiles. stiles.
seriously. why are you doing this to me?
brown and black!! :)
black: your dreams! be published, be a critical success? what?
i would love to see my name in print someday~ and my mom's always said one day i'll write an autobiography, but tbh i don't think my memory is all that good. i think i'll be content to stick with fanfic and if i continue on in academia, i'll get published through there (hopefully, but i think it's a job requirement so). actually i already have an article published, but it's my english senior thesis and it isn't that good, tbh.
i'm not particularly anxious to get my name on a book of fiction or nonfiction or an article or anything; getting published in a journal is pretty exciting still.
brown: three favorite novels
i am terrible at choosing ~top favorites~ so here are three novels that i love the shit out of:
someday this pain will be useful to you by peter cameron. a ya novel about that limbo between high school and college. i enjoy that the main character is gay, but it's really not central to his plight, i.e. it isn't about being gay (contrast with my work lolol).
ceremony by leslie marmon silko. i read it in my native american religions class, and it's a really cool book; there's slippage in time and the progression of someone's mental decline.
tipping the velvet by sarah waters. victorian lesbians having sex!
fuckingstiles replied to your post: How I Met Your Mother is trying to kill me.
