I have loved Taylor since I first heard Tim McGraw on the radio. I remember going to school in fifth grade listening to her debut album EVERY RECESS EVERY SCHOOL DAY and girls making fun of me because I liked country music. Despite being bullied because I liked country music, I have supported Taylor for 13 years and will continue to do so. I begged my parents to take me see Brad Paisley so I could see Taylor and they did. I saw her play at the Strand Theatre in Lakewood, NJ before she made it big. I saw her on the Fearless Tour, Red Tour, 1989 Tour, and the Reputation Stadium Tour. I have listened to this woman’s music every day for the last 13 years. I remember crying when she did a livestream announcing she was going pop, but then blasting 1989 in my car for two years straight. I remember watching every award show just to see her, and I remember every award: CMA Horizon Award, Entertainer of the Year, every Grammy, CMA Pinnacle Award, MTV awards, etc. I was a fan when she had a small following: MySpace days, Youtube blogs, the leather bracelets she sold on her website, the TPain song at the CMAs, the original Sparks Fly, her Blender magazine cover, and so much more. She has gotten me through hard times, made me cry, and helped me get through break ups. I can’t even put into words how Taylor has impacted me. I would go to the ends of the earth to get her masters back for her. She has been the artist of the decade for 13 years in my eyes. No I have not met her, no I’ve never been noticed online, but it doesn’t matter to me. I’m proud of her and the work she has created it since she was a teenager. With that being said, I love you, Taylor. I will always support you.
