To Esther, Jamie, Aga and Lizzie...

First of all,

I don't really know you all that well (honestly, I don't know you at all :D), so I feel really odd about using your names or pennames or whatever, but hey, what can you do, right...?

Until this morning I didn't know anything about any books being given to any fans, but naturally, tumblr was quick to fill me in on what I had missed. Given the fact that I follow three out of four of you (I'm totally changing that, btw), the story was quickly revealed and I was surprised to hear that hateful messages were being received about getting the books in the first place.

I don't understand why any of you would be getting these messages at all considering you're a go-to source for TMI/TID fans. If anyone deserves the books, it's you and I hope you won't allow yourself to feel guilty over receiving them because of a few fans' jealousy.

And, to the fans' sending the hate: I thought we were better than that as a fandom. This was Cassie's way to acknowledge, not just these four lovelies, but ALL OF US. It's her way of saying that she knows we're there and she's happy to have a fans like us. You should be happy that these four got recognition because it means that WE ALL got recognition.

unpopular opinion?

Okay, so I know a lot of people have been sending hate to Cassie as well as Jamie, Aga, Esther and Lizzie because they received special signed copies of City of Bones from her. But I have a question, why are you all so angry with them? I get that you're jealous, of course you're jealous! I'm jealous too but what do you think they did, bribed Cassie or something? No, Cassie reached out to them because as she said "they are the glue". I follow all of these girls and they are some of the most loyal and dedicated TMI/ID blogs out there. I'm not saying all of you don't deserve books too but how is Cassie going to get thousands upon thousands of books personally signed by her and cast members sent to each and every TMI blogger out there? She can't. So shouldn't you just be happy for them? Just because you deserve books too doesn't mean they don't. Of course I want a book of my own and of course I think I deserve it but I am incredibly happy for these girls. And why are you hating on Cassie? She is probably one of the coolest authors ever, she takes time out of her life to come on here and answer people's questions and give us special information and snippets which -might I add- she doesn't have to do. She is not required what-so-ever to be involved with us on here, she does it because she wants to and because she loves us. So she wanted to send some really lovely people who 100% deserve it a special present, a thank you. So what? Be happy for them, be happy that we have such an amazing author who goes out of her way just to do special things for us! How many other authors do you know who do that? I'm not saying you can't be a little upset that you didn't get anything but these girls really are incredible and they really deserve this. They weren't gloating when they put their posts up here, they were sharing what a wonderful thing Cassie had done for them and for our entire fandom, so just be happy.

I'm thinking everybody who keeps hating on Esther, Jamie, Aga and Lizzie should really stop. These girls are beautiful people and should not be hated on just because they were lucky enough to get those books. We should be congratulating them, not saying mean things likethey didn't deserve itbecause the truth is, I think they did.

do you know what next year there should be like a competition where people would vote for the best TMI fan blog and the winner would get tickets to CoB London premiere for themselves and like 2 or 3 friends and we all would vote for Esther obviously and then she would take Lizzie and me to the premiere yes this is a brilliant idea isnt it
