For starters, you can call me Doggy, and my pronouns are they/he/it/bark/guts. I am also autistic so please use tone tags if you can.
I've taken interest in lion dancing near the start of 2026. It started when chinese new year was starting up, and I started seeing a lot of lion dancing videos pop up in my recommendation. It was fun and mesmerizing to watch people perform in these lion costumes and heads and I couldn't help but look more into it. As I did, I found much more lion dances from other regions, and my love for it continued there.
Because of my chronic pain there is no way for me to perform lion dancing myself (it would be cool to do it) so all I can do is admire from the crowd. I've never seen lion dancing in person before, but hopefully in the future I can! And, of course, when I do I will take many pictures and videos.
I am still learning a lot of things about lion dancing, so any info I give on any may not be 100% true. I highly encourage any correction in case I make any mistakes.
