“Faust,” Asra called out, peaking his head out of his tent. It was meal time. He had food prepared and she was no where to be found. Usually he didn’t allow her to wonder to far off, knowing a lot of the circus’ patrons weren’t exactly fond of her. He stepped out of his tent with a frown, looking carefully for the large white snake.
His tent was out front of the event, being one of the outside entertainers. Surrounding his were booths for games and other odd attractions. They were barren currently, the carnival grounds abandoned during the morning hours. He stretched and slipped outside, stretching out his arms above his head and shivering. It was cold in the current city they were in, and the morning hours had left frost on the trampled grass. Light silks weren’t exactly the best choice of clothing but it was most of his outfits.
Knowing he’d have to search for her he went back inside the tent. He passed the public reading area and back to his living quarters, pushing away a curtain that separated the two. He dug around for a warm woolen cloak and left again.
He reached out with his mind, following her faint aura back to the performer's living area. He wasn’t there often considering the privacy of his own tent, but he wasn’t a complete outcast... just a bit of a loner. There weren’t many outside and the ones that were could guess why he was out in the morning hours. It wasn’t the first time Faust had escaped.
He ended up in front of the medic tent, frowning. Great, he knew that Julian in particular wasn’t a fan of Faust. Hopefully she hadn’t caused any problems. He slipped inside and froze, his eyes widening. Of course as luck would have it, the doctor was in.
And his familiar was getting closer and closer to him.
