Avery & Ivy, 2018

And here for the instant film trifecta is a Fuji FP-100c pack film shot. This comes from my most recent shoot which is part II of my shoot with Avery and part of a larger series that I’m getting closer to completion on. As stoked as I’ve been with part I of what Avery and I shot, part II with her girlfriend Ivy is shaping up to be some of my best work... and certainly the work I’m most proud of. Okay but a little about this shot. Let me begin by thanking @n1826 who very likely saved my pack film life. A year ago Fuji announced that they were ending production on the Fuji FP line and prices began to skyrocket, a pack on Amazon now costs north of $40... I thought I’d shot my last pack, until I worked out a trade with him. Here’s the other thing to know, except for the 180 model, or medium format camera backs, all the pack film series cameras are automatic, shooting in low or non-daylight without a flash is pretty much pointless... as I have learned. I shoot with a modified 230 model I scored at an estate sale and recently purchased some flashbulbs... but unfortunately at this shoot I couldn’t get them to work so instead I took a risk and aimed my super bright work light at Avery and Ivy, it was just light enough. I actually love the effect it gave the end result.
