[text: Ice to Meet You] I mean... I guess it could be depending on who you say it to.[text: Ice to Meet You] You say it to Natsu an awful lot though. ....Not judging or anything.
“HOW could I possibly stay calm?” Her eyes were sparkling with excitement. She was past any normal sense of danger and walked straight up to the creature. “It’s a real bear!”
OF COURSE Rayne wasn’t dumb. She placed a thin barrier between her and the animal. But she still went as close to it as possible. “Gray-san, isn’t it just the cutest thing?” Oh, how she wanted to reach out and pet it. Or ride it. But neither of those options seemed like a good idea.
“Do you think they allow bears as pets? I want to keep him.”
Happy birthday to Meru ( @fullbst / @solofelt ) ! Here is GrayRay on an amusement park date~ I hope you like it and I hope you have a very special day! Sending you so much love and good wishes ^^
❝ When I promise something, I never ever break that promise. ❞
MEME // not accepting
IT WAS reassuring to hear such words the first time. It had her feeling like she was right to befriend him. Rayne was not one to depend on others, she enjoyed standing on her own. But she was left with a sense that if need be, Gray was someone she could lean on.
LATER these words made her feel safe. He was someone she trusted. And over time, someone she wished to give her heart to. So many new things have happened to her upon entering this guild. He was one of them, these emotions for him another. She was, of course, confused, unsure, shy. And yet there was an overwhelming amount of trust thanks to that sentence.
SHE FELT protected. Cared for. Loved. Their own, sometimes awkward, odd, tough, form of love. Nothing comparable to her books, but Rayne preferred it that way. It made it all more special. Being with him brought her nothing but happiness it seemed.
AND a part of her wanted to ask him to promise if that they would be like this forever. Yet, she didn’t. A part in the back of her mind kept her wishes hidden. As if she had experienced this before, and it knew that there wouldn’t be a happy ending to them.
ASKING for such a promise would be nothing more than cruel.
HIS ARMS always held onto her tightly. Like he was afraid to lose her. She never minded, and so she never asked. Asked just what he seemed to be scared of. What he feared would happen.
OR maybe she too was afraid to ask. There was familiarity in some of it. And again her thoughts would linger on. Yet she continued to ignore them.
ON that morning, however, she couldn’t shake them. Her intuition told her something was wrong. But she simply didn’t want to believe it. She instead wanted to rely on him. And believe that everything would end up fine.
“Sometimes I feel like me and you knew each other in another life.” Words slipped out. As if she had to say it now, or miss her chance too. “Can I ask you to make just one promise?” Her fingers knitted together, wondering if it was fair for her to be a little cruel, just this once.
“Promise me, in the next life you’ll fall in love with me again.”
