Yesterday (30th Nov 2018) was the large exhibition. There were a lot of animations shown. I however decided to make a box to represent myself and mind.

For the large exhibition I wanted to continue with my concept of growth but but through a different life lesson.

I through this process I was able to learn about not one, but two lessons.

These were:

1) We tend to fill ourselves with rubbish and information which tends to make us unable to see the more important things like our nearest and dearest.

2) We all have a perfect idea of what family is. However, in real life that’s not what it’s like in the real world.

I decided to place my box under the table. I did this to show how insignificant that this lesson is.

So, if you read my Goodreads reviews, you know I tried to finish reading this book, really, really hard. I got to chapter 18 and then I realized I couldn't do it. I used to have a much higher tolerance for BS writing, but I think I'm past that phase. This could have been a nice book about a man in his 50s who decided to give himself another shot at love. That would have been fine had the author not made him be bitter for 21 years over the fact that someone broke up with him. It's not just that he remained bitter about it for 21 years and literally chose to be miserable, but it's also that his ex-lover left him a note with a legitimate explanation as to why she left. And yet, he didn't read this note until he was pressured by someone else to do it after more than two decades. By the time he realizes that he's been an emo idiot that's full of crap, it's too late to do anything really. Every time the main character said something sentimental or meaningful, all I could remember is that he was so full of crap that he made himself miserable for two decades because he never grew up. I don't think I'll be picking up anything by #NinaGeorge again. This book left too much of a bitter taste in my mouth. #ALittleParisBookshop #books #reading #bibliophile #fullofcrap #badbook
