So here it is. The shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere: the winter solstice. Also the first day of astronomical winter. And tonight there will be a full moon, the last full moon occurring on the winter solstice until the year 2094. I celebrate this day because the following days will get longer, minute by minute.
