you ever realize that your self esteem is on the floor so the second someone genuinely compliments you instead of berating you and telling you you’re terrible like you expected you can... barely believe it’s real
#in a. group project meeting rn#we’re doing a word typology paper on korean#and i kind of know Korean which is convenient#but like.#i was just sitting there bracing for impact#thinking my groupmates were gonna tell me#everything is wrong and that i suck#and like my groupmate who’s like Well Put Together#she asked me if like. three words i typed into a paragraph were#fully necessary#and i was like omg Queen feel free to change anything u want!!!!!#and she was like omg no i just worried i might have misread#‘maybe u had a reason for it!’#and i was like. whatever reason it was. was probably bad ❤️#and then when everyone was done reading my part#she was like Michelle this is really good!!!!#it’s short sweet to the point and i love your examples!!!#and i was like#wait really?#I was so confused#and they were all like#yeah we found it really good and easy to understand!!!#i said ‘i gotta go get water guys brb!’#and i had to like. pace around the kitchen#just to like really let it all sink in#and then i came back and we were going through this other dudes part of the paper#and this girl was like hey dude michelle capitalized certain key terms that u didn’t capitalize#‘im gonna capitalize them rn’ and i was like oh haha!! idk why i did that!! so random!!#and she was like no i think it’s good and important to make it stand out. makes it easier to read too. and i was like. oh. huh.#personal
